Kemah Event Calendar – Rules and Guidelines for Content

The Kemah Events Calendar is Kemah’s central, comprehensive events calendar. The calendar informs and connects the community and visitors with the wide array of events taking place in Kemah. If you have questions regarding the calendar, contact us at pjett@kemahtx.gov.

Note: The Events Calendar Policy and Standards is subject to change without notice.

Discover Kemah will advertise city-hosted events, as well as user-submitted events that fall within the following categories:

· Community celebrations

· Music festivals/Live Music

· Parades (on land or water)

· Art shows and events

· Vendor markets

· Food festivals and events

· Holiday events

· Car/Boat Shows

Please be aware that the following types of content are not allowed and will not be approved:

· Profanity or offensive language.

· Events that promote a specific religious or political activity or belief.

· Sexual content or links to sexual content.

· Content that promotes or perpetuates discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation.

· Direct solicitation of commerce, such as yard sales or special discount sales.

· Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity.

· Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.

· Content that infringes on the legal ownership interest of any other party.

The event or activity must be open to the general public and not limited to organization members. Also, it should not discriminate against anyone on any legally impermissible basis. The organization that posts the event is responsible for the content, including verifying information, editing, and providing contact information for any queries.
